Currently, I am a PhD student. My main research interests are: 1- Understand the eco-evolutionary implications of viviparity at the level of individual dispersal, gene flow patterns and natural selection, by using a species (Salamandra salamandra) that exhibits two reproductive modes: larviparity or ovoviviparity (the ancestral reproductive strategy) and viviparity (the derived reproductive mode); 2-Investigate the genetic basis of the transition from larviparity to viviparity in Salamandra salamandra using genomic approaches; 3-Investigate the demographic history and population dynamics of Salamandra salamandra subspecies in Iberian Peninsula; 4-Assess, through ecological and genetic data, the effects of roads on biodiversity; 5-Understand, at neutral and adaptive genetic levels, the effects of urbanization on wildlife.
