Alex Marcuello

Alex Marcuello received the degree and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1984 and 1989, respectively. He is a Full Professor of Geophysics with the Faculty of Earth Sciences, University of Barcelona. He is the author or a coauthor of more than 55 peer-reviewed articles in international journals, and of more than 200 conference papers related to the exploration of the Earth using geoelectrical methods, covering geotechnics, mining, hydrogeology, geothermal energy, archaeology, sedimentology, geodynamics, and characterization and monitoring of geological reservoirs. His research interests include studies of the effect of the geoelectrical induced currents in the infrastructures, the geothermal energy, and geoelectrical monitoring of geological reservoirs.
