个人简介
Ana Luísa Daniel-da-Silva got her Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from the University of Alicante (Spain) in 2005. Since June 2009 she is Researcher at CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials and Chemistry Department of the University of Aveiro, under the Ciência 2008 FCT program, Investigator FCT 2014 (IF/00405/2014) and CEEC Individual 2018 scientific employment stimulus. Her main scientific interests concern the development of nanostructured materials including functional nanoparticles and nanocomposites for applications in nanomedicine, bionanotechnology and water remediation. In particular, she is interested in novel strategies for surface modification with biopolymers and synthetic routes for preparing nanomaterials with innovative and enhanced properties, aiming for the development of green nanosorbents and biocompatible nanomaterials. A.L. Daniel-da-Silva is author/co-author of 2 patents, 11 book chapters and 85 papers in SCI-indexed journals. Her work has been cited nearly 2220 times, corresponding to h-index=27 (Scopus). Also, she is co-author of the book "Surface Chemistry of Colloidal Nanocrystals" (Royal Society of Chemistry, 2021) and has co-edited the book "Nanocomposite Particles for Bio-applications: Materials and Bio-interfaces" (Pan Stanford, 2011). She supervised 3 post-doctoral researchers, 17 research fellows, 19 MSc (concluded), 18 undergraduate students and 6 Ph.D. students (ongoing). Since 2007 she has participated in 16 funded research national and international projects, namely in 2 co-promotion projects in collaboration with industrial partners, aiming the development of novel materials and technologies for water treatment (Bosch and The Navigator Company, for water softening and paper pulp effluent treatment). A.L. Daniel-da-Silva is author/co-author of nearly 160 oral and poster communications and she has been invited to deliver several talks at national and international conferences, including as a keynote and plenary speaker. She was invited as Evaluator of European projects (FET-OPEN-RIA,2017-2019). She is a regular referee of international journals including top-ranked journals (NPG Asia Mater, ACS Appl Mater Inter). She has been strongly involved in several teaching activities namely by lecturing topics for post-graduation students within the subjects Nanochemistry and Frontiers of Inorganic Chemistry. As part of her academic activities, she has been involved in communicating chemistry for non-specialized audiences, in particular issues related to Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials.
