Alexander Haak

Alexander Haak is currently working as a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Thoraxcenter, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam. He is interested in ultrasound imaging for intervention guidance, 3-D ultrasound, image recon-struction, segmentation, and instrument tracking. He received his undergraduate degree in applied physics and computer engineering from Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, in 2007. He obtained his M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. His master's degree research focused on parametric ultrasound imaging for tissue characterization.
