Bio
Michael Lamb’s current research focuses on forensic interviewing and the factors affecting children’s adjustment. He and his colleagues have shown how developmentally sensitive interviewing improves the amount and quality of information obtained from young victims, witnesses and offenders in investigative settings: Child Sexual Abuse: Disclosure, Delay, and Denial, Tell Me What Happened: Structured Investigative Interviews of Child Victims and Witnesses, Children’s Testimony: A Handbook of Psychological Research and Forensic Practise, and Children and Cross-Examination.
His other research has documented the roles played by parent-child relationships and other experiences in shaping children’s adjustment and well-being: The Role of the Father in Child Development and Mothers, Fathers, Families, and Circumstances: Factors Affecting Children’s Adjustment.
