Today, Miller is a professor of medicine and directs the lymphoma program at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. In 1980, Miller was offered a faculty position at the UA College of Medicine. Translational research, now a buzzword in medical science, rarely was entertained in 1980. Miller also has spent considerable time developing new treatment strategies for patients with lymphoma. He served as head of the Section of Hematology/Oncology for 10 years and played a key role in the development of The University of Arizona Cancer Center - North Campus, 3838 N. Campbell Ave., where he continues to see patients.
